Westminster: Chabad of NW Metro Denver presents Songs of the Inspired Soul – The Hasidic World of Music: A Moving Musical Experience.
The evening features a live performance by the Red Rock String Quartet of seven intriguing and soulful melodies each one presented by a film narration that will illuminate the deeper meaning of the music and melodic connections to the world of Hasidic Judaism.
Rabbi Benjy Brackman of Chabad of NW Metro Denver is excited to bring this production to the community. “In Hasidic communities’ music plays a central role. Melodies are often taught by the rebbe also knows as Hasidic master and used to spiritually uplift the Hasidim/followers with their yearning and soulful compositions.” says Brackman.
Hasidic music was also pivotal during the difficult shtetel life in Eastern Europe. It was during these trying times that these melodies elevated people beyond their difficult surroundings and transported them to place of spiritual bliss and happiness.
“We invite the entire community of all religious affiliations and backgrounds to come and experience these unique melodies, masterfully arranged by Israeli composer and arranger Israel Adelson and beautifully presented by the Red Rock String Quartet” Says Benjy Brackman.
