Resource guide for grandparents and their families
Here’s a concert series that’s made in the shade. Swallow Hill Music presents the 2018 Shady Grove Picnic Series at Four Mile Historic Park every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. from June 6 through August 22. Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy a terrific line-up of musicians. Here’s the schedule:
July 25 — Harry Tuft-Get ready for an evening of acoustic ballardry and storytelling the Godfather of Denver Folk Music.
August 1 — The River Arkansas
August 8 — Ricky Earl Band featuring Cherise
August 15 — Rocky Mountain Jewgrass
August 22 — Felonious Smith Trio
Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets may be only purchased in advance online or on-site and are $12 for adults, $8 for Swallow Hill members, FMHP members, seniors and bicyclists and $3 for kids under 12 (under 2 free).
You can bring your own food, alcohol and lawn chair or blanket. Dogs are not allowed. This is a rain or shine venue, so the show goes on unless the weather presents a threat to anyone’s safely. So if it looks iffy, bring an umbrella.
