Resource guide for grandparents and their families
Neil Simon is essentially the king of playwriting, so it’s a guarantee that you’ll dig yet another piece in the repertoire of greatness, “Rumors”. It’s a first-rate farce packed with broad physical comedy, loaded with his trademark wit and plenty of high-octane, door-slamming energy. It all starts when three affluent couples arrive at an upper-crust Manhattan anniversary party to discover that their host — who happens to be the Deputy Mayor of New York — has accidentally shot himself through the earlobe, while his wife and their staff are missing. Intrigued? Desperate to save the mayor’s reputation, the couples go to zany lengths to keep the police and press from finding out the truth. Don’t miss this gem of a comedy at the John Hand Theater in Denver.
