Scientific Measurements
How do scientists measure bacteria, plants, or animals? Come learn how to measure a tree, a snake, and a turtle through this hands on course about scientific measurement. We will learn about the tools and metrics used to measure life as well as the importance of accuracy versus precision. This class will be 90 minutes long and geared towards advanced students ages 8 through 12. Class is limited to 12 students. Fee for this class is $25 for Members and $30 for non-Members.
My Nature Lab, is a hands-on space where you can explore the natural world around us. My Nature Lab has reptiles, from local to exotic, where you will be taught by a professional biologist about their nature, habitat, and life. In the lab you will have opportunities to see the animals up close, ask questions to an expert, and even hold some in your hands. Our focus is conservation through education and we invite you to join us in bringing about positive change through a better understanding of our natural world.
