Dorrance Dance

Eight dancers and six musicians spend the evening furiously exploring acoustically and digitally produced sounds. The dancers actually dance the score, tapping and moving on digital platforms that make the stage their instrument. MacArthur “Genius” grant recipient Michelle Dorrance celebrates the extreme mobility of the percussive body, combining rhythm with interactive electronic music technology in a perfect fusion of movement and sound in ETM: Double Down, a plunge into the energizing ambiance of an incredible tap dance re-imagined by 8 amazing dancers and 3 musicians playing live.
