Resource guide for grandparents and their families
It’s all about Charles Darwin at the next University of Colorado Museum of Natural History‘s Family Day on Saturday, February 11. This day’s theme: Darwin’s Voyage explores how humans are shaping the evolution of other species. From antibiotic resistance to real live goats — explore and participate in hands-on science and art activities for the whole family. There will even be birthday cake to celebrate the 208th birthday of Charles Darwin. The event, appropriate for ages 4 and older (with many activities targeted to 4th to 8th grade), runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is FREE. The museum has more than four million objects in anthropology/archeology, botany, entomology, paleontology, vertebrates & invertebrates. Exhibitions present natural and cultural wonders from Colorado, North America and the world.
Although admission is free, a small donation of $3 for adults and $1 for children is appreciated.
