The 16th annual festival will take place on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and on Sunday, July 31 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Sloan’s Lake in Denver. Celebrate the culture, contributions and accomplishments of Colorado’s Asian Pacific American communities. See traditional dragon boat races, performances, demonstrations and food and shopping vendors. If you’ve never been before, it’s worth a visit as there’s something for everyone in the family. Some of the highlights include more than 100 performances across six stages. On Saturday morning, there is an opening ceremony with an 80-foot Dragon Dance and over the weekend, 42 dragon boats compete in over 120 races. Free admission.
