Have you ever wondered what life would be like in space? What does life look like in a space station or how would it feel to be roaming in a space colony? Come learn about the concepts and realities of “life in space” as presented by former Lockheed Martin engineer, Mr. Stephen Kelly.
Mr. Kelly will begin the lecture with a dive into some of the earliest human concepts of a space station and transition into the well-known projects that have become a reality; including Skylab, MIR and the International Space Station. The first 40 minutes will be lecture based while the last 20 minutes will be a walking tour around Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum’s Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) exhibit, which details life on the International Space Station and features real-time tracking data for the ISS.
The lecture will take place on February 19th from 1:00 PM – 2:00PM in our Harrison Ford Welcome Theater. Interested? Tickets will also give you entry into the museum for the day.
