“America’s Musical Journey,” the newest IMAX 3D film from MacGillivray Freeman Films, will open in Phipps IMAX Theater at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The film celebrates the unique diversity of cultures and creative innovation that characterize America, as told through the story of its music.
Narrated by legendary Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, the film follows Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces the roots of America’s music, following the footsteps of Louis Armstrong through the colorful locales and cultures where America’s music was born. Tap your toe across America as you experience the sounds of jazz, blues, zydeco, and old-time country music and see how they have shaped our nation’s distinctive musical heritage. In America’s Musical Journey, singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc takes you to vibrant places where American music was born, from New Orleans to New York City.
